Regular Season Round 11: Dubai - Zadar 71-63

Very expected game when 12th ranked CroatianZadar (4-7) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked UAE Dubai (8-3) 71-63 on Friday. Dubai made 22-of-23 free shots (95.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Italian Awudu Abass (198-1993) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Slovenian Klemen Prepelic (191-1992) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Dubai players scored in double figures. Dubai's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Tyler Wahl (206-2001, college: Wisconsin) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Karlo Zganec (206-1995, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Dubai maintains fourth place with 8-3 record. Defending Croatian champion Zadar dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Derby. Dubai will meet at home bottom-ranked Mornar (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zadar will play against Borac (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
